Welcome from Pastor Paul Bryant

My first Sunday as pastor of this church was July 15, 2007.  My wife, Katie, and I were drawn to these special people because of their friendliness.  Each has a story of how the Lord has worked in their lives.  God has blessed this church in many ways.
I desire to come alongside a group of believers for the purpose of growing together in spiritual health and vitality.  I am passionate about leading people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by accepting, loving and training them with Bible-based truth.
Rich blessings come from joyfully serving the Lord.  It is my aim to encourage each person to discover his or her spiritual gifts and use them for God’s glory and the building up of His Church.
Katie and I were married November 21, 1978.  She graduated from Long Beach Community College in California with an Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology.  Katie has been an Ultrasound Technologist for over 20 years.  We lived 23 years in Phoenix, Arizona prior to moving to the Cottonwood area.
I was born December 14, 1952 in Long Beach, California.  Having enjoyed a retail career of selling ladies’ shoes, I was led by God to make a significant change in direction, to become a pastor.  At the age of 47, I went back to school to earn a Master of Divinity degree from Phoenix Seminary.  I have served as an Associate Pastor with the First Baptist Church of Tempe, AZ.
Our mutual interests include hiking, reading and playing “Guts” with friends.  Katie also enjoys stamping, card-making, crafts and decorating.  Our favorite hot beverage is a loose leaf tea called Goldrush.  The Bryant household is rounded out with a yellow Labrador named Gracie Mae.
